Caroline Herring

I saw Caroline Herring perform last night. I’d heard her before, but she was on stage with three other people the first time, one of whom was Mary Chapin Carpenter. I knew I liked her. I just didn’t realize until I saw her solo show that I really liked her.

Good stuff. Very literary. And she’s a Eudora fan. You can’t go wrong there.

Here’s a sampling of what I found from her on YouTube.

“Song for Fay”–based on Larry Brown’s novel Fay

“The Great Unknown”–based on Dante’s Inferno

“Tales of the Islander”–about Walter Anderson
