This is the same angel that I used for the cover photo on my poetry collection. She’s in the Cedar Hills Cemetery in Vicksburg. I stopped by to visit her yesterday when I made a quick trip through Vicksburg for a poetry program at the public library. She guards the grave of a woman named Annie. Since Annie is also the name of my dog that I keep at my parents’ house (as one of my nephews described her), this should be an easy name for me to remember for my poetry angel.
