I might the only person in my photo group who debated between a quote from William Faulkner and a quote from JK Rowling today. Guess who won?
The quote above — “Never trust anything that can think for itself if you can’t see where it keeps its brain” — is Mr. Weasley’s advice regarding objects such as Tom Riddle’s diary in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I always wondered if that applied to the Sorting Hat as well.
