I’m making paper cranes as a tribute to Japan. They are a symbol of hope associated with a Japanese legend that says anyone who makes 1000 paper cranes will be granted a wish.
This is my first crane that I made yesterday after any number of fail attempts. It’s somewhat pitiful, but it is done.
Here is today’s effort, equally pitiful and equally done.
Will I make it to 1000? It seems highly doubtful that my attention span is that long. I am going to keep trying to perfect the folding technique, though, and I am going to keep thinking of and praying for the Japanese people as I do.
