I woke up this morning to the realization that I had to buy a Wii.\u00c2\u00a0 Strictly for medical purposes, you understand.\u00c2\u00a0 School starts for me on Monday, and something has to control my stress levels and keep me motivated to stick with a fitness plan.\u00c2\u00a0 Treadmills are fine for what they do, but treadmills are boring.<\/p>\n
Stress relief.\u00c2\u00a0 Exercise.\u00c2\u00a0 Not boring.\u00c2\u00a0 Something I can do indoors because it is still too hot to move outside.\u00c2\u00a0 Something I will want to do when I come home from work in the afternoons.\u00c2\u00a0 Something that burns at least more calories than sitting on the couch.<\/p>\n
I had to think about these criteria for about 10 seconds before I found myself in Best Buy.<\/p>\n
Me:\u00c2\u00a0 I want that Wii.<\/p>\n
BB Geek:\u00c2\u00a0 Would you like to pay $30 extra to have the Geek Squad set it up for you?<\/p>\n
Me:\u00c2\u00a0 I don’t need a geek.\u00c2\u00a0 I have a teenage nephew.<\/p>\n
My nephew is now the owner of some sort of fake automated weaponry, by the way.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m not sure how that became an added cost of the Wii, but everything does have its price.<\/p>\n
I am officially the worst Wii player in the history of Wiiers.\u00c2\u00a0 That’s good.\u00c2\u00a0 I won’t be so good I bore myself any time soon.<\/p>\n
In other news, I stuck to the diet all day long except for the tiny sliver of birthday cake I consumed from, you know, an innate sense of obligation.\u00c2\u00a0 I burned that off yelling at my nephew for laughing at my Wii skills.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
