(Author: Patti Digh)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Well, I imagine I&#8217;d be so busy running from the imminent blow to the head that I wouldn&#8217;t have time to sit down and gather up memories.  If I did, I&#8217;m sure I&#8217;d first think about the new members of my family who have arrived this year through birth and marriage.  I&#8217;d think about good times with family and friends.  I wouldn&#8217;t worry too much about everything else because I&#8217;ve blogged about it all.  I could just go back and read my year all over again once I got out of the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>But the part that would really anger me would be forgetting how to do the tasks I&#8217;ve had to learn for work this year.  I am breathing a big sigh of relief right now because I&#8217;ve survived a semester made extraordinarily stressful by the fact that we changed to a new version of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blackboard.com\/\">Blackboard<\/a> only days before classes began.  If I had to make that transition again right now I would run screaming into the woods, and you would never see me again.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, with the concussion and all from whatever it was that made me lose my memory, my chances of survival alone in the woods wouldn&#8217;t be that great, but I would take them over having to redo 2010 at work.
